The Opportunity

This position is 100% remote. This position may require occasional travel based on the business needs at the time.

Supports the learning needs of team members related to the proper use of Point Click Care (PCC). Identifies those individuals and communities "at risk" for needing training, guidance and follow up related to the progress of PCC implementation. Monitors compliance reports to assess progress of all communities as well, as education related to accuracy of Level of Care evaluations. Communicates any changes or modifications implemented in PCC to appropriate parties.

What You’ll Do

Responsible for planning education and compliance for the PointClickCare (PCC) system in conjunction with Clinical Services. Provides education for the proper use and implementation of PCC. Collaborates closely with the National Director of Clinical and Director of Clinical Operations in the overall operation of PCC implementation and compliance.

Administers and/or oversees the administration of diagnostic measures to assess compliance preparedness and to evaluate potential learning deficits for incoming and current team members.

  • Plans, develops, and educates individual and group instruction meetings with team members and prepares reports to document progress.
  • Establishes/teaches a foundation of PCC knowledge for Five Star Senior Living team members.
  • Assists team members with the knowledge to create and manage PCC dash boards.
  • Makes recommendations to the PCC team for enhancements and modifications to the current PCC system.
  • Assists team members to develop learning strategies that support individual success, which may include one on one instruction.
  • Develops structure orientation program for all roles that utilize PCC to ensure there is standardized onboarding education process.
  • Develops and updates PCC Quick Reference Guides and tools.
  • Assists team members with understanding individual PCC requirements whether fully implemented or with partial implementation of the system. Develops short- and long-term plans to meet requirements and evaluates the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, make necessary adjustments for continuous improvements.
  • Maintains regular communication with communities, DRC’s, DOC’s, DOP’s, National Director of Clinical, and Vice President – Chief Wellness Officer and other related personnel related to monitoring progress and compliance progress reports.
  • Participates in the overall implementation in conjunction with the Point Click Care, Clinical Informatics and Clinical Services team when implementing PCC in communities.
  • Assist with PCC Service Tickets to resolve issues or determine whether further involvement of others is needed for problem resolution.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

  • Works with home office leadership, National Director of Clinical, Vice President – Chief Wellness Officer, Directors of Clinical, Directors of Operations, and Directors of Resident Care as necessary and implements recommended changes as required.

CONTINUING EDUCATION:

  • Attends continuing education programs required for maintenance of professional certifications and licensure.
  • Incorporates new methods, principles, and trends learned from continuing education programs into existing practices.

  • Ability to develop and apply communication strategies for the distribution of instructional materials to team members.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies. Ability to adapt training methods to accommodate different learning styles and levels of technical proficiency. Education and/or Experience:
  • Graduate of accredited Nursing School, Valid RN License
  • At least 5 years-experience with Senior Living and with the PCC system.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of PCC and state regulations.
