Key Responsibilities
  • Train and supervise the Area Chief Engineers serving our communities.
  • Oversee the coordination of technical service providers, including assisting with biding contracts and the monitoring of quality control.
  • Assist the Regional Director of Operations and the Facility Administrators with the preparation of capital budgets for the properties.
  • Building Improvement Work:
  • Review construction drawings to ensure all building design requirements are met.
  • Operations and Resident Services:
  • Monitor staff efforts in the quality and timeliness of completing resident work request
  • Analyze energy usage and demand information and implement operating strategies to reduce costs

Requirements
  • 7 years of direct experience in the management of mechanical, electrical and plumbing operations for commercial buildings
  • Experience in all aspects of mechanical, electrical, life/safety and plumbing operations in commercial buildings including safety, code compliance and technology utilization
  • HVAC or electrical technical school training or equivalent experience required
  • Individual must be knowledgeable in monitoring and implementing energy conservation measures in a wide variety of commercial properties
  • Experience with computerized building management systems
  • Experience with computerized preventive maintenance and work order systems
  • Experience with the opening, staffing and commissioning of newly acquired properties
  • Experience with the operating and maintenance of older buildings and systems
