THE OPPORTUNITY

Develops and implements a People & Culture operations strategy for the Sr. Living Division that contributes to success by driving efficient, compliant, streamlined, and productive processes and tools that advance the company’s mission and strategic objectives. Provides strong leadership in HR Operations, Compliance, and Employee Services with a focus on developing field leadership. Aligns HR operational and support services to be compliant and anticipate and exceed the needs of the business units and other projects. Administers all people policies & procedures for the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Business Strategy Activation/Ops Excellence
  • Serve as the project manager for multiple initiatives and cross functional projects simultaneously.
  • Lead complex talent operations projects with well-defined timelines, deliverables, and end-to-end project management.
  • Oversee operational communication strategies in partnership with home office and leadership to optimize and streamline communication flow to and from communities.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on timing of implementation and execution around each project that is rolled out.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to home office leaders understanding the impact of initiatives on resident experience, productivity, and team member experience.
  • Assists with the coordination of all pilot projects and measuring success and recommendations for scale.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify process bottlenecks and define solutions for process improvements.
  • Maintains a master workload planning calendar and acts as the central gatekeeper for all field projects and initiatives to support optimal execution and productivity.
  • Partner closely with Legal, IT, COEs, P&C and Operations teams for the delivery of all policies, programs, and tasks across the region. Partners closely with the above stakeholders across geographies, to drive standardization, improvements and effectiveness of services provided, utilizing relevant measurement and feedback tools to ensure the quality and value of service delivered meets standards and Operating / Service Level Agreements.

  • Partner closely with COEs, People & Culture and Operations teams for the delivery of people programs companywide with a focus on integration and implementation within Five Star.

Program Management
  • Partner closely with COEs, People & Culture and Operations teams for the delivery of people programs companywide with a focus on integration and implementation withing Five Star.
  • Ownership of the project lifecycle from inception through launch. Maintains and measures effectiveness of program integration, sustainment and utilization through data analysis
  • Drive continuous improvement by working across geographies and brands to drive standardization and effectiveness of recognition programs, utilizing relevant measurement and feedback from field stakeholders to ensure quality and value.
  • Expert consultation on best ways to drive implementation in a multi-unit environment.
  • Engage and connect team members companywide by bringing values & our Employee Value Proposition to life through stories and celebrating key milestones via certificates, issuing gift cards, spotlights etc.
  • Own coordination, and execution of Engagement days for Five Star that are observed as an opportunity for recognition (Nurses Day, Alzheimer’s Awareness month etc.)
  • Work directly with COEs to ensure People & Culture portal is well documented, maintained and regularly updated and communicated.





WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or minimum 5 years’ experience in employee relations, investigations, employment law, and disciplinary actions
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, which govern employment policies and practices
  • Thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards
  • Experience successfully implementing programs across geographically distributed teams
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to influence stakeholders
